Taking Classical Song to our Schools

Vocal Arts DC gives students at middle and high schools in D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland school districts an introduction to art song. Accompanied by a volunteer from the Vocal Arts Board of Directors, two young, professional singers and an accompanist visit four schools to perform three times a semester. These presentations evoke a wonderful response from the students, many of whom are singers and some of whom themselves aspire to professional singing careers.
